Grinding
Using CNC and conventional grinding plant our nine grinding machines give us the ability to produce cylindrical and internal diameters and external threaded components. Additional abrasive machining techniques include lapping and honing.
Ground diameters frequently form part of the precision finishing operations on aerospace components. To ensure quality the grinding department has its own set of comparators to measure diameters during production. The section also has its own Profile Projector (shadow graph) to measure the position and form of blend radii.
The production method used for fine thread grinding is usually the full form crushing roller technique. Single point full form grinding is usually reserved for the grinding of precision worm gears.
