Work Experience

Yonis is currently studying Btec Level 2 in Electronic Engineering at Acton College and was recruited via the Reed-NCFE partnership.

During his time at Newmont he was given an overview of the Turning, Milling, Grinding, Deburring and Inspection departments. 

He was also introduced to Quality Management and Production departments by our respective managers. Yonis found this very beneficial, since it gave him a good understanding of how the work flow is organised and products manufactured from start to finish. 

He quickly adapted to the work environment and really enjoyed his time at Newmont, especially the hands-on experience in Milling.He is now considering a role in Mechanical Engineering and we wish him well in his future studies.
